The 9th Asian Federation of Osteoporosis Societies Congress and the 20th Thai Osteoporosis Foundation Annual Conference, held on 25–27 September 2025 in Bangkok, concluded successfully with the strong collaboration of experts, healthcare professionals, and researchers across Asia. The joint meeting provided a valuable platform for sharing knowledge, advancing osteoporosis care, and strengthening regional cooperation.

To make the Asia region excel in education and research in all aspects of osteoporosis, thereby bringing to the region the highest quality of healthcare in this field of medicine. Through coordinated efforts and co-operative research, AFOS aims to promote, foster, develop and assist medical and allied profession in the study of and the acquisition, dissemination and application of knowledge and information concerning the causes, diagnosis, prevention and treatment of osteoporosis with a view to reducing morbidity and mortality there from in the Asia region.
